A Hiking Trip in The Grampians
During our hiking trip in The Grampians, we stayed in the little town of Halls Gap, where kangaroos were abundant. We also enjoyed a visit to the Brambuk Aboriginal Culture Center where we learned about their culture, tried some natural foods they ate, and learned how to play didgeridoos and throw a boomerang. I bought some Aboriginal art from there and it's the best thing I took home with me from Australia.
The walk to and from this spectacular waterfall was brutal, but totally worth it.
Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve
We stopped at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve on our way to The Great Ocean Road from The Grampians. At this nature center, my friends and I were on a mission to find a koala. We walked out into the woods for about ten minutes until we came across one hanging on a tree right along the edge of the path! This seriously was one of the best moments of my life. She was right in front of our faces and we just stood there in awe quietly watching her. I felt so fortunate to have seen her up close.
